Join us as we explore the technique of classical ballet. Students will develop an understanding of how to properly execute and interpret ballet terminology. Each class will include barre exercises, center floor work, and across-the-floor combinations. The ballet curriculum will increase in difficulty and complexity as the student progresses. Ballet training is vital to students who wants to excel in other styles of dance ages 7 to 10. The Jazz portion of this class will focus on learning proper dance technique such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality and developing complex rhythms and patterns. Class curriculum is based on ballet technique layered with traditional jazz movement and includes a proper warm-up, stretches, isolations, across-the-floor progressions, and combinations.
