PPAC STEAM

We are excited to be able to offer an immersive learning experience in the areas of science, technology, enginnering, arts and math. PPAC Steam was created for students age 18 months through elementary school. We hope you will join us for unique experience on Thursday mornings. A description of each class is listed below.

Parent Child Dance Class

Students Ages 18 months to 3

Our parent child class is sure to be a great time! This class is designed for 2 year olds with an accompanying adult. During class students will be introduced to locomotive movement and music. The goal is to inspire creativity while teaching students how to interact in a classroom environment.

Storytime and STEM

Students ages 3.5 to 6

This class will include a supervised time of reading, crafts and age appropriate STEM activity. Students will be introduced to concepts in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math. A story and craft will accompany the theme of the STEM activity to enhance the learning experience.

Magic Movers

Ages 3.5 to 6

This class focuses on basic ballet technique, creative movement, musicality and motor skills. This class is designed to introduce our youngest performers to every aspect of the performing arts! It is perfect for children already singing and dancing all over the house as well as those that feel shy to get up in front of people. This is a wonderful class to instill confidence, self-esteem, and good listening skills.

Storytime and STEM

Students ages 18 months to 3.5

This class will reading, crafts and age appropriate STEM activity. Students must be accompanied by and adult for this learning experience. Students will be introduced to concepts in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math. A story and craft will accompany the theme of the STEM activity to enhance the learning experience.

Elementary Dance Technique

Join us as we explore the technique of classical ballet. Students will develop an understanding of how to properly execute and interpret ballet terminology. Each class will include barre exercises, center floor work, and across-the-floor combinations. The ballet curriculum will increase in difficulty and complexity as the student progresses. Ballet training is vital to students who wants to excel in other styles of dance ages 7 to 10. The Jazz portion of this class will focus on learning proper dance technique such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality and developing complex rhythms and patterns. Class curriculum is based on ballet technique layered with traditional jazz movement and includes a proper warm-up, stretches, isolations, across-the-floor progressions, and combinations.
